PhD student

My background

I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in clinical psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam. After receiving my masters I spent some time working as a psychologist. In 2022 I started my PhD trajectory at the department of Neurology of the Erasmus MC. My main research interests revolve on patients and understanding how neurological conditions impact patients’ daily lives.

My projects

The general focus of my projects is the development of a standardized PROM set tailored specifically for patients with GBS and CIDP by integrating the valuable perspectives and experiences of patients. With this PROM set we aim to better understand and manage these diseases. Our goal is to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care provided to patients with GBS and CIDP.

Research focus

My research focuses on GBS and CIDP.

A list of research articles

  • PROM set development for GBS and CIDP

    • Study on CIDP and GBS

In this study, we aim to develop a comprehensive set of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) that reflect the most relevant outcomes for patients with GBS and CIDP, by actively incorporating patient perspectives.

  • I-RODS and (R-) FSS validation

    • Study on CIDP and GBS

This study aims to validate the commonly used Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) in patients with GBS and CIDP: the Inflammatory Rasch-built Overall Disability Score (I-RODS) and the (Rasch) Fatigue Severity Scale ((R)-FSS). The I-RODS is a widely used PROM focusing on activity and participation limitations and the FSS evaluates fatigue severity. We will evaluate their […]
